For testers

Test new apps. Build a portfolio.

Try apps before they launch, complete short tasks from their developers, and get your reviews rated. Your public Asolo profile shows the work you've done.

How testing works

  1. 1

    Pick an app

Browse the queue of iOS, Android and web apps waiting for feedback. Each one lists one to five tasks.

  2. 2

    Complete the tasks

Do each task, tick it off, and write a line about what happened. Add screenshots if they help.

  3. 3

    Say what you think

Write what worked and what didn't. Developers rate how useful your review was.

What you get

A public portfolio

Accepted reviews, completed tasks, apps tested, and your average usefulness score, on one shareable page. Turn it on when you're ready.

Badges for real work

First review, Regular, Task master, Really useful: earned from what developers confirm, not from clicks.

Early access

Use apps before they reach the App Store or Google Play, often through TestFlight or closed tests.

Practice that counts

If you're learning UX, QA or product design, every review is a small case study with real feedback on your work.

What makes a review useful

  • Name the screen or moment, not just the feeling: "the Save button is hidden behind the keyboard" beats "it's confusing".
  • Say what you expected to happen and what happened instead.
  • Always include something that worked. Developers need to know what not to break.
  • Never rate or review the app in a store because of Asolo. Ratings here stay here.

Questions developers ask

Do I need to be a developer?

No. Anyone who likes trying apps can join as a tester. You can switch to a developer account later if you start building.

Is it paid?

Testing is unpaid for now. You earn tokens, reputation and badges. Tokens matter if you later add an app of your own.

Who sees my reviews?

Only you and the app's developer. Your public profile shows numbers and badges, never review texts or which apps you tested.
